Jokes To Tell Your Kids
June 30, 2007
I can’t remember jokes to save my life. Here are a few my kids have been telling me lately:
Q: Why can’t the eleven year old get into the pirate movie?
A: Because it was rated “Arrrrrrr”
Q: Why did the chicken want to play in the band?
A: ‘Cause he had the drum sticks.
Q: Knock knock.
A: Who’s there?
Q: Boo.
A: Boo hoo?
Q: Why are you crying?

A. He was looking for Pooh.

When Super Villains Car Pool
June 28, 2007
One of my all-time favorite bits from Robot Chicken:
Cobra Commander, Skelator, Mum-ra and Lex Luthor car pool together…
“Behold the gascious stench of Skelator’s Breakfast Burrito!”
Enjoy!
Look Up and Check For Hidden Dangers
June 27, 2007
Friends, if you have trees bordering your property, look up and check for possible danger from falling tree limbs.
Check out this thing that fell and luckily missed my kids Friday afternoon. (View more pics here.)
My little kids and their grandfather were in the yard when this happened, but thankfully at the other end of the yard.
The tree was struck by lightning 5 or 6 years ago. A storm Thursday night seemed to loosen up this massive limb and it finally came down and crushed my back fence the next day.
I couldn’t budge this thing, even with the help of a neighbor. I had to cut it up with a power saw.
Cost me $122 and 5 hrs to cut up, clean up and rebuild my fence this past weekend. But that’s nothing compared to if someone had been hurt or worse. I feel horrible… it is something I might have prevented.
So, don’t put it off. Look up and if there’s something that looks risky, take care of it soon.
For Some Families, This Is All Too Real
June 27, 2007
For some, this is reality. For the rest of us, an example of what is to come. Do what you can to get your young people’s noses out of the handhelds and actually interact with other humans.
