The Rude Awakening of Optimus Prime

June 18, 2007

Autobots TransformTime for a bit more Transformers fun. The 1980s animated Transformers movie was intended as a launch point to reinvigorate the toy line with new characters. Along the way, they killed off heroic Autobot leader, Optimus Prime, at their darkest hour.

In season three of the 80s TV series, the writers brought Optimus Prime back to life at their even more darker than darkest, darkest hour.

Transformers lost it’s charm after that. But thankfully there’s YouTube. This is a great re-imagining of how a *confused* Optimus Prime might have been trying to get up to speed with all that had happened since his death.

(Warning, the language get’s a bit coarse at times, but it’s worth it.)

Enjoy…

Then there are the guys with way too much time on their hands. Check out these real-life costume Transformers…

Yeah, but in the back of your head, isn’t there a little voice whispering, “I could do that!”

    Thanks for the post!

Got something to say?
