Look Up and Check For Hidden Dangers

Friends, if you have trees bordering your property, look up and check for possible danger from falling tree limbs.

My little kids and their grandfather were in the yard when this happened, but thankfully at the other end of the yard.

The tree was struck by lightning 5 or 6 years ago. A storm Thursday night seemed to loosen up this massive limb and it finally came down and crushed my back fence the next day.

I couldn’t budge this thing, even with the help of a neighbor. I had to cut it up with a power saw.

Cost me $122 and 5 hrs to cut up, clean up and rebuild my fence this past weekend. But that’s nothing compared to if someone had been hurt or worse. I feel horrible… it is something I might have prevented.

So, don’t put it off. Look up and if there’s something that looks risky, take care of it soon.
