Product Recall: Pixar Cars “Sarge” In The United States

Mattel is recalling 253,000 units of the die cast metal toy character “Sarge” from the Pixar movie Cars.

Bad Dad Safety Warning“Surface paints on the toys could contain lead levels in excess of federal standards. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects.”

The recalled toy was sold nationwide in the United States between May and August 2007 and has these markings on the bottom:
7EA” or “M1253” or “K5925
China

The cars marked “Thailand” are not included in this recall.

    the toy i got was at traiders world flea market and it was marked in a series 1 package, during the company, mattel having series 2: supercharged and series 3: world of cars it started having lead poisoning in its paint

    now mattel stopped putting this metal diecast car on the shelves during 2007.

    Hello, I would like to know if the "Sarge" I got some years ago is toxic.
    It has the number 2976 EA, made in China.
    I would appreciate your commentaries.
