My sons who got to go out on Halloween hauled in roughly 50-60 pieces of "candy" each. They were generous and gave some to their brother who couldn't go trick or treating. Plus they agreed to donate some for the school to send to soldiers in Iraq. On the topic of schools that prohibit costumes, isn't it amazing how ridiculous it's getting? It sickens me how some people are just on a mission to suck the life and fun out of everything, or make everything so generic and blah. Get ready for non-denominational snowflake decorations in December. Thanks for listening and sharing guys.

I didn't do it as well as YOU did (I don't shellac anything!) but they turned out neat. I broke out my pocket knife and had at it. My daughter said we should add black electrical tape to the bottom to give it a 'grip' look, and she loved it. No costume for me this year, although I usually wear one. Being away from home meant no trick or treating, and my school prohibits costumes. I made Harry Potter wands too!
