“Hate something, change something.” That is gold. Thanks my friend. I think I’ll be unpacking that idea and referrencing you on Great Circle.
On the behaviour front, we’ve had some shockers this summer. At the same time, I’d point you and all of us to Gary Chapman’s Five Love Languages and Children - it helps me to know how my boys individually understand that I value them, and I’ve begun to show the older how I myself need to be cared for by him. It’s working, kinda. It certainly makes life a LOT better for everyone in the house when I the Dad invest in them according to this love language idea. Seriously, buy the book. It works.
But kudos to your boys for sharing their “loot” with the younger one and with others outside the family. That’s a credit to their own values and to your parenting.
Good cast!
