The Perfect Christmas Tree for Apartment Dwellers

November 8, 2007

Half Christmas TreeThis is a brilliant space saver for apartment dwellers. The Manhattan Flatback by Balsam Hill Christmas Tree Co. It’s a high quality, 7 ft Christmas tree that can be placed against a wall, thus taking up half the space a full-size tree would.

Brilliant!

That there is some good thinking. If only they could make it set itself up and pack itself away, I’d buy two (and put them back to back)… or does that defeat the purpose?

A few years back, Dilbert’s creator, Scott Adams, made a concept house based on what Dilbert would do to attract a wife. He designed a Christmas tree on wheels that rolled away into a closet. Also had “Retractable Christmas/Holiday lights so your neighbors don’t laugh at you in June when they see your lights are still on your house.”

    Now that’s efficient!

Just thinking about this, If I got two and put them back to back in different rooms, it’d look like the tree was GROWING THROUGH THE WALL!!! How cool/sad/geeky/intuitive is that!!??
